.:. A new era of Pokemon is about to begin here .:.

Introduction

I'm not going to tell you what the perfect team is, because there isn't one lol. However I am prepared to give you advice.

The Team

Pokemon Teams contain 6 Pokemon. You should have a balance in your team.

In my opinion a good balanced Pokemon Team is composed of:

* A Physical Sweeper
* A Special Sweeper
* A Physical Wall
* A Special Wall

The last two are optional but I would go for either a Support Pokemon, a Mixed Sweeper or a Mixed Wall. All of the Pokemon should vary in types as to avoid major weaknesses, and to give you a higher chance of type advantages.

When choosing your Pokemon you should also consider their attack moves. Depending on the Role of the Pokemon some attacks may be more useful. You can also use a move for coverage, such as a Alakazam with Focus Blast. It would be weak against Dark Types, but with Focus Blast a Fighting Type move, it may be able to beat its disadvantage.

Items are important as well as they may give you that advantage you need in a battle. Items such as choice band and choice specs boost your Pokemons attack or special attack power by a substantial amount however such items usually have a consequence.

When first catching or hatching a Pokemon you should make sure you get the best nature for it. Check out the nature chart page for more information on the natures. If you still need help on deciding the best nature for your Pokemon then feel free to contact me ^^

Another factor that effects the stats of your Pokemon are Ivs. Each stat ranges from 0-31 Iv's and your Pokemons Iv's are decided at random. However you can get a Pokemon with good Iv's by contacting an Iv Breeder who will trade you one for their price.

Lastly to get strong Pokemon and to be good at battles, you need to Ev Train. To do this you must battle a Pokemon that gives you the right Ev's you desire. Once you have found the Pokemon you must continually battle it until all the Ev's have been obtained. You should also have your Pokemon inflicted with Pokerus and hold the correct Power Item to increase the uptake of Ev's.

Power Items:-

* Power Anklet - Increases EV for Speed
* Power Band - Increases EV for Sp. Defence
* Power Belt - Increases EV for Defence
* Power Bracer - Increases EV for Attack
* Power Lens - Increases EV for Sp. Attack
* Power Weight - Increases EV for HP

The Max amount of Ev's a Pokemon can earn is 510. The Max Ev's per stat is 255, so you should Max out two stats and leave the remaining 6 Ev's for the HP stat.

An Example Team

Here is an example of what I think is a good team.

Ninjask: Support. Jolly Nature. Eved in Attack and Speed. Holding Liechi Berry.
Moves - Button Pass, Swords Dance, Protect and X-scissor.

Weavile: Physical Sweeper. Jolly Nature. Eved in Attack and Speed. Holding Focus Slash.
Moves - Ice Punch, Night Slash, Brick Break and Swords Dance.

Alakazam: Special Sweeper. Timid Nature. Eved in Special Attack and Speed. Holding Choice Specs.
Moves - Psychic, Trick, Grass Knot and Focus Blast.

Steelix: Physical Wall. Eved in Defence and Attack. Holding Leftovers.
Moves - Stone Edge, Stealth Rock, Crunch and Explosion.

Blissey: Mixed Wall. Eved in Defence and HP. Holding Leftovers.
Moves - Softboil, Sizemic Toss, Ice Beam and Aromatherapy.
