Pokemon Facts


* The name "PokeMon" did not originate form a Japanese word. The word actually originated from the two English words: "Pocket Monster".

* The original Ash Ketchum's voice is actually done by a woman. The same actress who plays Ash, also voices his mother.

* Mr.Mime has Mr (mister) in its name but can be female.

* Ekans is snake spelt backwards and Arbok is kobra spelt backwards (although the correct spelling is Cobra).

* Spiritomb and Sableye (Dark + Ghost Type) are currently the only two Pokemon with NO weaknesses.

* There is no Pokemon that is a pure Flying Type.

* Magikarp is the most useless Pokemon.

* Azurill is purely a Normal Type unlike its evolutions which are only Water Types.

* Lugia is the guardian of the sea, but is not a water type.

* All pokemon that can learn TMs can learn the move toxic.
